Marital Artist

So I do martial arts.
But most people don't realize that.
honestly, I don't like conflict, physical or otherwise.
its just not enjoyable unless its just for fun like sparring.

I'm around 6 feet tall and around 150 lbs (such a weird abbreviation ^_^)
Thats tall, but I'm not that strong.

But I'm not weak either.

Anyways, I love martial arts.

First off I lost al my bookmarks today. SO i decided to install firefox 3. Which then didn't work that well.
then i installed IE 7 which never showed up...
But by then FF3 was working.
Until noow when it is going really slow... and making mad. ugh

1st Corinthians 24-27

24-25You've all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You're after one that's gold eternally.

26-27I don't know about you, but I'm running hard for the finish line. I'm giving it everything I've got. No sloppy living for me! I'm staying alert and in top condition. I'm not going to get caught napping, telling everyone else all about it and then missing out myself.

Think how hard Olympians train for that little piece of metal. Yes, there is honor, however its just a piece of shiny rock. Yet, they dedicate their whole lives to obtaining it. How much harder then should we work to serve Jesus who has freely given us the greatest gift, eternal life. Although works do not get us into heaven, we should be motivated to serve God out of gratitude. He saved us from ourselves.

Weekend (so far) Wrap up

Things Ive done this weekend.

Spent 7 hours with freshmen.
Played multiple games of killball(one headshot)
2.5 hrs of karate for Christ
Many new 5th graders at the edge
Almost 750 high school students at the 630 service
1 small peanut butter cup/strawberry and old-fashioned vanilla from goldenspoon
Way too many laughs
More new 5th graders
Another big 1115 service.

Total:Ive been at church for 17 hours so far this weekend

The Refinery!!!

ok, so last night I got to see the Refinery in action. They had done sooo much since Monday. Anyways, this building literally made me speechless. Think a combination of Starbucks on steroids/Disneyland/Retro/Disneyland.

So amazing.


This was the only picture I could find online. The whole building doesn't even fit in it.

News

So in the news today is all the gay marriage stuff.
SO i thought I'd chime in.

First, I am MORALLY against gay marriage. I believe marriage should be between a man and a woman.

However, according to the United States Constitution we are allowed to pursue happiness. we cant discriminate. Doesnt matter whether itd b against the majority or against the minority. Just because something offends someone doesnt mean u cant do it... but were do u draw the line

I mean the Bible says obey the authority of the land unless it goes against God, but does that mean n our own lives or in everyones?

I mean i could say that i want to shoot every third person in the leg. That mite offend people, but just cuz i believe it does it make it acceptable...



all that being said, i still dont approve of it.


ps-dont think im just some homophobe because I have a good friend who is gay.

pps-i am open to other positions and retain the rite to change mine when I decide to. i am not the smartest theologian or most legalistic person so I may have made mistakes

This is a post entitled to some cool people.

First, all my senior friends have/are graduating

Second, Amy from church who is like a big sister to me got married =D
So congrats to miss amy lynn Ivy Nantkes

Third, the refinary(sp?) is opening this WEEK =D

Fourth, but the saddest is that this was the weekend all our kids leave and move up. Yes, I know we'll get new kids but we've spent 2 years pouring into these awesome kids. Im happy ill still see them around the new building =)



Finally, I would like some prayer for a family from my church. I know their oldest daughter through the edge and our dads know each other. anyways, they are going to serve in Rwanda for a YEAR. so please pray for them. If you want more info you can e-mail me.

Graduations

Saturday was my cousins graduation, so I went to that out in temecula and that was really cool.

Then this tuesday my brother graduated Jr.High. Thats just wierd to think my bro is in hs now with me.

And then today I went to my school's graduation.
It had less than both other graduations, but it was really cool. I knew both of the girls who sang and both did a great job.
My friend marcus spoke ad did great as well.

Overall really fun, but also sad to c my friends leave...
