Texting

Texting has arrived.
There's a bunch of big numbers out there with statistics on who is texting.
I am one of them.
I text more than any guy I know.
I literally have a couple friends I text all day.
I love it!

Somehow,  the older generations and "experts" have gotten the idea that its bad.

And so the key question is, Is it? Does it hurt personal relationships?

No... and yes.
Texting in and of itself is not bad. Texting alot is not harmful. I feel more connected to me friends constantly than teenagers ever before me. I can find out how people are doing in seconds. So for communication not face to face, it is excellent.

However, I have seen a downside. Texting allows you to stay in your own little world. You can forget about where you are.  When I am having a real conversation with someone, I will not be texting at the same time. It's extremely rude and if it is that urgent then the other person can call you.

While texting does have a dark side, I believe that it is a great way to stay connected with friends.

^^That is the culmination of more than two years.

=C

This  is why I couldn't vote for Obama. Period. Most things I can negotiate about or see both sides.

The situation is clear.
Abortion is murder
Ergo, its wrong.

Midsummer's Night Dream

On Monday and Tuesday, PCHS Theatre Arts performed A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Orange County Rescue Mission. Both nights went well.
Before the second performance, our director explained how someone had been holding out on him for three months. When that particular person unleashed their anger, it jump started the whole play.

Guess who that person was?

Me ;-)

Anyways, we successfully made shakespeare into a hilarious comedy. Couple important thing about this. 1.We are a small school. We use every person that tries out for the play. No one is cut. Second, we pulled off this play, meeting once a week. That's it. Once a week for a couple months. That's hard!

I'll post pictures and video too when I get it

Prospero Ano Nuevo!

Last night was  party till '09 at the refinery
It was ligitimate.
First, formal attire was requested and most people participated.
Time to partay!!! on TwitPic
There was of course the guys who wore jeans, and the girls with the dresses that were too short, but it was an outreach event soo...
There was a long line at the door and a ton of people were there.

It was separated into a trance dance in the big gym and a slow dance in the half court, plus everywhere else you could hang.

  • Slow Dance Room-There was barely five couples in the slow dance room, and since I wasn't there with a date I didn't dance in there.
  • Everywhere Else-Food, karaoke, some blow up stuff, formal pictures, and a place to right down goals
  • Trance Dance was really fun. It was all techno till after midnight but it was fun.  Some of my friends are great dancers.
Notable Events

-Inflatable slide collapsing multiple times
It just kept falling down(with people inside)
-Dance Circles
There were some really talented dancers there
-HSM Ball dropping down at midnight
      It was really cool...

Notable People I Danced With
Jason, Jay Kelly, and Joe
These guys are fun. We just make fools of ourselves.
The Olson Twins, Madison, and her friend.
I just had to convince these guys to dance, have fun,
don't worry bout whos watching.
Eventualy they all did, even Madison's friend
Ally, Alli, Ali, or some other spelling
I ended up dancing with this girl twice.
She was a great dancer.
Girl to be unnamed
It was MY  last dance so I finally went over
and danced with a girl I sorta like
=p
Happy 2009!
No regrets!
ps-now I have to go work on my portfolio
